Install Picasa from Linux Ubuntu 8.0.4

I have just install this Google Picasa from google it self. Google provide a debian package to install Picasa directly to Linux Ubuntu. Actually Picasa run under Wine and I have already wine at my linux so it doesn’t has many problems to do this. If you really want to install just download it right here at Google Picasa.

Konqueror Universal Browser but not for Yahoo!

Right now i use Kubuntu 7.04 Fiesty Fawn with Konqueror default Explorer when i use M$ Windows. Konqueror is a Universal Browser with many features that can’t be done perfectly by other browser. Until now i use Konqueror to browse file, preview, and also browse the internet.
Unfortunately when i open http://mail.yahoo.com, yahoo can’t support for New look and back to old yahoo that’s not web 2.0.
Konqueror doesn’t support with applet java web start and flash player, but now i try do add some program like java web start and flash player for mozilla firefox and i hope konqueror will take the effect
Well keep fighting for linux VIVA LINUX

Kubuntu 7.04 Fiesty like Vista

I’ve just install Kubuntu 7.04 Fiesty and now i’m trying to make it like Vista. At the last linux i’ve install i always failed on my VGA Card ATI Radeon Xpress200.
Keep trying to look beatufiul for my linux desktop, i’ve try Ubuntu 7.04, 7.10, PCLinuxOS 2007, and now Kubuntu 7.04
I hope this time everything looks perfect.

Setting samba with swat on ubuntu

At my office already migrate some PC client into Linux but there are still some PC installed for windows XP Home. I want to make File Server on linux using samba and share like Windows Server but still confusing with the configuration on smb.conf

This is my simple smb.conf script :

If you want to manage by samba web manager, you can use swat. I use ubuntu 7.10 so it is simple just type :

#apt-get install swat

I’ll try to manage my samba into real File Server like Windows Server 2003.

After a log time i’m not writing anything, because i have to migrate OS from Microsoft product into Linux.

I have several kind of linux i have installed like PCLinuxOS2007, Ubuntu 5.10, 7.04, and 7.10, Open Suse Personal 9.1. Actually i like PC Linux OS 2007 and the latest ubuntu 7.04 and 7.10

Well after all this done i’d like write again and review anything interest.
